Assessment planning, implementation, and evaluation of diabetes education programs. This individual works in conjunction with physicians and hospital departments to assess the educational needs of patients and clinical staff. Primary responsibilities involve the provision and coordination of educational activities for patients referred to the Program and to the Hospital's clinical staff as needed / assigned. Registered Nurse or Registered Dietitian with a Diploma, Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree from a school and a current licensure in the state of Georgia. Certification in Diabetic Education preferred. CPR certified. Requires tact, discretion, diplomacy, and ability to work effectively with others. Reads and writes in English, possess an ability to communicate with patients, families, staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors, and others; has an ability to evaluate and /or interpret information and make independent decisions. |
