Bachelor of Science degree, including one year of supervised experience in an approved clinical laboratory resulting in the certification in medical technology; certification as a medical technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent organization; current licensure as a technologist by the state of Georgia. Must have knowledge of CAP, JCAHO, State of Georgia and other regulatory agency guidelines. Must have excellent organizational skills and be capable of independent follow-up; must possess good interpersonal and communication skills, work well with others, and possess tact, discretion, and diplomacy. Must possess proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Coordinating and supervising the section program (blood bank). Developing, organizing, analyzing, monitoring, and reporting statistical data, providing recommendations and action plans for the improvement of system processes in the section, assisting in implementation of approved action plans including reevaluation of effectiveness and maintaining an appropriate procedure manual. |
